Mika is a staffy x girl who has come to SAFE Bunbury in dire need of some love and TLC. She was very underweight, with cuts to her face, infected paw pads, and was extremely timid. Mika is fortunate to have been in care with an expereinced foster carer who is starting to bring Mika out of her shell where we can finally see the beautiful and friendly girl she is.
Mika is on a special diet still and it is anticipated that she should be able to move onto dog pellets within time.
Mika has a loving, affectionate nature once she knows you are going to be kind to her. She likes to nuzzle you and lick you and loves to be where you are: she does not seem to be a wanderer. She responds to you when you talk to her, knows sit and has quite good recall when called, and will also shake paws with you.
We are looking for a gentle home for Mika where she will be fussed over as she deserves. We are sure that in no time at all she will blossom into a confident and happy girl. Mika gets on with other dogs although doesn't have many social graces and will jump all over them if she can! She does chase cats and chickens so is not suitable for a home with cats/small animals.

Before rehoming our dogs, SAFE Bunbury carries out home inspections to make sure they are being adopted into safe, secure and comfortable new homes.
Our adoption process includes a two week cooling-off period.
