Cook - Part time in BUNBURY, Western Australia

The Daily Grind Café is looking for a dynamic, hardworking and loyal individual to join their small team. You will work alongside the owner in creating fresh homemade meals which will also include gluten and dairy free meals.
You must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a café or gourmet deli. You must have the ability to follow instructions and recipes, be able to learn quickly, have a willingness to learn, show initiative and think on your feet in busy hectic periods within the kitchen.
A glimpse of the role:
- Prepare paninis, sandwiches, wraps
- Make lasagne, chilli con carne, curries, frittatas, soups, pastas
- Be able to cook meals to order from the menu (burgers, steak s/w etc)
- Make and prepare salads along with dressings
- Bake and prepare cakes which includes raw, gluten and dairy free
- Daily kitchen prep of food and cleaning duties of cafe
Other duties include:
- Making coffees, juices and smoothies
- Customer and table service
- Operating the till and EFTPOS machine
Experience is these areas will be advantageous but full training will also be provided if needed.
Important things that you need to have:
- Food safe certificate or Certificate in Hospitality
- Drivers license and car
- Well groomed and excellent presentation, good communication and written skills
- Genuine referees
The Daily Grind Café is located in the Harvey Norman Centre and is open Tuesday to Saturday. The hours for this position will be 8.30am to 4.30pm. All other details pertaining to this role will be discussed at the interview stage.
