Our versatile and ever reliable 6 seater 4WD is not getting the off-road use that it deserves. We purchased her at 275,000km in January 2009 as an ex-McMahon vehicle because of their rigid maintenance schediles and she has been a wonderfully reliable go-anywhere machine ever since.
Our 4WDing is pretty much coastal track and beach drives with some soft national park runs around Bunbury and down south.
Purchased to tow our boat, with 4WD in case of a slippery or rough boat ramp, the off-road capability was really a bonus which opened up a whole new world for our family. There's plenty of room for luggage and sturdy Rhino roof racks for all the toys.
As the pictures show, the duco is not in pristine condition with all but two dings present when we bought her. We wouldn't have it any other way as we travelled some pretty tight tracks (around Black Point, Lake Jasper, Boranup forest, Shark Bay...) and were never ever concerned about scratching the paint!
Features: Dual battery with Redarc solenoid, HD 12V outlet in cargo area for Engel/Waeco etc, 3" lift, near new tyres on genuine Toyota steel rims (not split rims), Clarion head unit with front aux input and 4 speakers, 40ch UHF radio with 6dB high gain antenna, steel bull-bar, genuine Toyota towbar, snorkel, new extractors/system, receipts for diff, clutch, heater core, air cond regas, radiator flush snd pressure test.
She is a very capable and 4WD which has had oil changes every 5000km and new oil filter every 2nd oil change. There is never oil loss between changes.
Other optional extras that may be included if desired are snatch strap and shackles, staun tyre deflators, 150L/min portable compressor, 3 extra Toyota steel rims with tyres and one split rim with tyre (these 4 tyres may not be suitable for road use).
I even have 5 stud Landcruiser pattern trailer hubs and bearings as I was looking to put the rims on my trailer for peace of mind on touring trips.
